Hello wonderful family! it seems like every week u guys seem to be doing better and better which is what i always pray for! Mission is really flying by but at the same time it seems like ive been gone forever. Mission has been full of times where i never want to leave and times of just, get me outta here now! thankfully i think there is more of the first :)
Well this last week was actually really good and we taught a ton of lessons even though we werent here tues and wed cause zone council in kumasi. Its different here cause im know im needed just as much as i was in ust but here i just cant seem to find that formula. i guess when in doubt just work work work. haha i know the lord will help us if we give it all we got.
ok so for ur q's: In the new village we have a couple sweet inv's but nothing too much as we dont go there all that often. our new finding strategy comes and goes but so far its not all that effective unfortunately... haha We dont really see any animals here same as everywhere else. there really isnt wildlife here in ghana. only in the national parks. there is definitely alot more cinder block houses here. the only place where u can find the huts is the serious village areas where nothing else is around. hopefully well be going to one soon for an activity.
The missionaries in the zone are doing great and they are really giving it their all. what elder ihezie and i r trying to do is to just get them super motivated for this next quarters goal since it is huge. 43 for the zone. my favorite lesson this week was probably yesterday with a new inv from the new village Anita. as we taught the restoration u could really see it in her face that she was just being taught by the spirit and she said she felt something and it made her really happy. so we hope all will go well with her cause she has a sweet husband too and a kid.
OK so for the week. not too much cause tues and wed we were at zone council. it was good though as we discussed how we can meet our goals and get our zones motivated. we will report on that and do our best at our DM on wed.
Thursday we had our splits with the AP's and so that was pretty good. the one ap elder otagba was here in fiapre b4 so he wanted to see a bunch of people. we did get some lessons though. We taught charles part of L1 and he seems to be doing well we can tell he's got what it takes but he just needs to put forth more effort. We then did alot of sweeet contacting and found some promising ppl who speak english. We then met with bertha and taught her the commandment to study the scriptures. we r just trying to keep her motivated but we dont have anything else to teach her so we r going through the commandments 1 by 1. we then met with suzy and abigail and even their mom (she doesnt speak english though) and it went well. We then came back for midweek which as usual only the mills family came.
Friday was sweet as we taught a bunch of lessons. as we have been now we just need to weed out the weak and find better ones. We first saw stephen (faustinas husband) and the lesson was good. We then met with our new inv emmanuel who seems pretty promising and as long as he doesn't get corrupted by the JW's he should be able to progress. We then had a lesson with a kid, francis who has been coming to church for a while, but we r also trying to work with his older bro dickson. We then met with yaw and finished the last of the commandments. yaw is so powerful as ppl always come to him and try to detour him but he'll have none of it! he knows the truth! he'll be baptized this coming sun. We then had a lesson with the anita i mentioned b4 and we mentioned eternal fams and she was hooked. she has an awesome husband and baby and im feeling really great about them! we then got plastered by the rain and mud and rode our bikes home in it and arrived filthy as u can imagine. hopefully i can get my white shirt white again, they r already suffering as it is. haha oh and b4 i forget in zone council pres talked about opening a new area just a couple hrs north of sunyani and putting 6 elders there so thatll prob happen this transfer and they would be in our zone which would make our zone huge and make our duty and business CRAZY!
Sat we again had a bunch of lessons. We did have a crazy awesome lesson with yvonne though! she totally got an answer that joseph smith is true and the church is true! she even has a member friend in asuoyeboa who has helped her a ton. so we r expecting big things from her! so small small we r hopefully progressing here in fiapre. it has been a wild ride and definitley a growing experience.
Sun was awesome and every single chair was filled (30) we even got some new members that will be worshipping with us now from some outlying cities and we r super pumped for that cause they r powerful! we then met with stephen and faustina. we then met with yaw and went over his interview q's for his interview thurs and filled out his bapt record. We then contacted an awesome fam but they r all methodist and it will take great patience and faith and skill for them. We then had the awesome lesson that i told u about with anita earlier. Lastly we went and taught stephen the rc and chopped fufu.
well fam im doing well and im just trying to do everything the lord wants me to and get everything he wants me to get out of this experience.
i love u all. thanks for everything!
