so to answer ur q's today was maybe my fav p day next to golfing and stuff. so about the sandals... i haven't tried them on yet. im still wearing my old ones into the ground! ha the other missionaries are all pretty close. no they rnt in villages. that is just unique in fiapre. yes we go on splits once a week with the DL's. the work is moving pretty fantastic with our inv's we r getting some solid ones and even some coming to church. i know we will be able to meet our goal if we keep up the hard work! it is not easy to get to the solid ppl. u have to go through alot of unserious ppl but eventually u can find them. u just gotta make sure they stay progressing! haha also very difficult... ha
So for mothers day yeah i should be able to call and im hoping i can skype cause we found a cafe here that has the speed to do it. So this week we were so extremely busy it was pretty ridiculous! ha prob my busiest week i have had on mission. its funny cause i remember when i was called as DL in UST i thought holy crap im so busy, but now... it doesnt even compare. ha it is good though cause i have absolutely no time to think about anything else.
Tuesday we actually didnt really have much just our normal schedule. It was also kinda a really long slow day. this week was also super hard, maybe thats why it seems like we were so busy because we worked so dang hard! just mostly straight contacting! Tuesday we found a promising inv gifty. she is just really happy and positive so we hope she'll do great! We then had a lesson with suzy and abigail and we brought the YW pres in our branch so she could talk to their mother cause she was having some concerns with the church and she can't speak english so we couldn't talk to her. it must of gone well cause they were at church on sun! Our new inv obeng also did really well and we were able to see him a couple times. the only thing is that he failed us on sun and we dunno why so we hope that he's not just pullin our leg. He read the whole restoration pamphlet in like a day and when we taught him about joseph smith he was listening way intently and super happy and he was excited for him and his fam to come to church. so we still have high hopes for him.
Wed was pretty bad depending on the way u look at it i guess. haha We had a bad curse of the splits here in fiapre as elder ojok came here and was with me. every single one of our appts failed us so we just contacted, and we didnt even really find anyone that we would like to go back to, unfortunately... everyone deserves the chance though so even if they dont listen now the seed has been planted for the future!
Thurs was a sweet day and we first had a service project in the morn weeding for sis lilian and then after, we taught her. she still seems dedicated enough but has still only been to church that once. We then taught a new inv we contacted earlier and she seems pretty cool even though she'll be way hard cause her whole fam is methodist their whole lives. We then saw abigail and suzy again and like i said they r doing great since our YW pres talked to their mom. she really loves us now and always wants to feed us. ha
Friday i had a good PS insight i thought i would share cause i thought of our wonderful fam and how it relates to us. it was from jacob 2:18-19 and it talks about how we obtain faith in christ. i am grateful for u guys faith. It was another long day full of failed appts but luckily we had alot of backups cause fridays we usually have alot of ppl to see after our weekly planning. We didnt have anything too special happen except a powerful lesson with emmanuel! he is doing great even though he missed church this week cause he slept in. cant be too mad cause i cant say i didnt used to do the same thing... haha we will give him a b date soon and he really just has a natural love for the gospel. His fam is also super happy he's finally coming to a church and they ask him plenty good questions.
Saturday i went on splits here in fiapre in Elder Alexanders area with him. it was totally awesome and we definitely gave them the sweeter half of the area when we divided it. Elder Ihezie and me then had to come back around 5 for the rest of the night for a leadership training mtg for all those in leadership in sunyani district, which now includes us.
Sunday was just absolute chaos as i think it will be from now on. i had to help pres mills and the clerk for like 2 hrs after church to update records and stuff on the computer. Also me and pres mills went around and visited some members so he can get to know where they live. i also had to call a bunch of ppl in for interviews with him. I also conducted sun cause pres mills asked me to and im getting really good at it! Also the big surprise sun was anita came to church! she didnt come with kwame cause he had to work but she came with their baby! she loved it and we have our fingers crossed! fiapre really needs a powerful fam, one is pres and his fam. Yaw was also confirmed and he is doing amazing! he hasnt even missed a sunday since the first time he came. We then met with a new inv J.K. who is another older guy but has a way powerful and big fam! we didnt talk about much cause time was short but everything he said and wanted to know was spot on to what we have! so we r really excited for him! like i said we r finally getting some ok ppl to teach in this village. haha We then had lessons with our rcs yaw and stephen. We also meet ALL of our goals for the week on top of everything else we have to do now! a true miracle. Today was also fantastic as i said earlier and we went to some waterfalls and a monkey village place and it was awesome! love u guys! mission is sweet!
