Hey guys! so this week has been much better! Last monday i played bball for the first time in forever. ha we played against a ghana high school team! haha they were pretty legit and not gonna lie i dominated! it was so awesome to play good!
Tuesday was sweet at district meeting we watched 17 miracles which is just an awesome movie! it was really uplifting and made me not feel so bad about being here. ha This week we have continued to work with members and its awesome! It is going very well. We also had a cool story about service. The other day we helped a guy push his truck and apparently he went back and told his member friend and now he wants us to teach him! it probably wont get anywhere becuase he is a jehovah witness priest but it is my first experience with service getting me a lesson! We got a new investigator elvis, who is a members son. he seems pretty awesome. we got stuck in the rain and had to take a taxi back to our apartment. Yes i got gma slades package. i thought u sent my package out forev ago? ok then... ha just fill it with good stuff!
Wednesday we went on splits with the zl's and of course all the appointments fell through like they always do on splits. We ended up teaching 2 lessons. It pretty much rained all day too. The rainy season is finally here and its sweet! We have to wait alot out of the rain but it is way cooler and no sun!
Thursday we went to see an inactive member who we heard needs help. We went to see him and his whole shop/house burned down and he lost everything. he doesnt even have clothes that fit him. just one pair of huge junky dirty clothes. its so sad and i just wanted to give him a bunch of money! ha but he said once he can get some nice clothes he will come back to church. hopefully when elder hatch leaves we can give him some of his clothes. Elizabeth is doing awesome and she has gave us several referrals! we taught 2 of them thurs. They seem alright... ha hopefully theyll get more serious. In the evening we taught bro. missouri who is a member. we had a sweet lesson with him and hopefully we can start teaching his wife. he is our 2nd counselor.
On friday we taught ernest and idk if it was a good lesson or not... ha it was all over the place and he had so many q's. ha We also saw some people eating a turtle there which was pretty disturbing thing. ha hopefully i can send pics. Oh by the way tooooooo many pics this week. ha i cant open them all i dont have time, but if u get them developed and send them i would love to have them! We also taught a member referral rhoda. she is doing pretty well and she even came to church sunday! my companion is such a powerful teacher! We then taught gloria who is godfreds sis. She is also doing awesome. it is funny how more and more people from that fam keep showing up for us to teach! haha She told us every time we come and teach she feels touched. we explained that its the hg and how it works and stuff. We then stopped by the owusu enza family on our way home and their daughter just happended to be opening her mission call so we were invited to stay! it was sweet! kinda anti climatic but sweet. she is going to sierra leone freetown mission. We then saw a way way drunk guy playing futbol with some kids and it was maybe the funniest thing ive ever seen. That night we also had a lesson with some members the frimpong family. we talked about the restoration and watched the restoration dvd.
Saturday we played futbol and freakin our awesome investigator dickson that dissappeared came! we talked to him and apparently he's back. ha We also played with godfred and his friends who are amazing at futbol and we are gonna teach one of his friends. We then got a new investigator Alfred who we taught and he seems like he could be pretty sweet. Sat night we had a fireside with the zolls put on for us for our ward. about 10 people were there but it was awesome! after they took us to peri perii thoyugh which is da best! There was also lots and lots of rain sat! ha
On sunday Charles and cynthia and kwabena were confirmed which was awesome! After church and for the rest of the day we taught with sis. paulina who is the owusu enza daughter who just got her call. we taught a bunch of people she had for us all that day. unfortunately only like one of them spoke english... blah. She then made us amazing food after. Today has also been sweet. its elder hatchs last p-day. he says u can come to his farewell and i think u guys should. that would be sweet.
