What do u mean the pics and videos shocked u? haha The al's are doing great and elder hatch is getting all ready to go home! :( bleh. Yes we always have a few ant marches going on. ha The man in the pic was holding a grass cutter. it is a giant rat. yummy. ha Jamie said the blog isnt updated at all? When am i going to be getting the pictures u promised forever ago that we took right before i left? ha the work is going good. we did have 3 baptisms sunday. Charles and cynthia and kwabena. they are all freakin awesome! i know that they will all be way strong members until they die.
Ok so tuesday we had zone council and president introduced an exciting new way that we will be doing missionary work now. We are to no more do contacting. like on the streets and knocking doors and stuff. he wants us to be working with members like crazy and that is going to be soooo much more effective! Tuesday night we also did service again at the people in abuakwa whose house burned down. That would be so sweet if elder chafetz came to the kumasi mission! i would love to see a familiar
face!
Wednesday our first appointment failed but we ended up running into a new guy, ernest. he seems like he could be pretty sweet and he already doesnt agree with alot of stuff in his church. We also finished teaching kwabena everything that we needed to and so he just needed his baptisimal interview. We also met with kader and selina.
Kader told us that he introduced two people to the church in Sunyani and that they are being baptized! he is so powerful and its crazy to think that we are the ones who brought him into this gospel and now look what hes doing! ha We also met with a members daughter, aboajyewah. she is the most stubborn person i have ever met. she is 20 and just graduated hs. we tried to teach her 2 different times now but she wont listen. she told us even if she gets an answer to her prayers that the church is true she still wont come! so idk what to do with her...
On thursday we had a very productive weekly planning. all of our planning has seemed effective and productive with elder evbuomwam. We also had Kwabenas baptisimal interview and he of course passed. Elizabeth our rc also gave us three referrals!
On friday we didnt really have much planned so we decided that we would try to work with some members. we went around to a few members and rrcs and gave them pamphlets and challenged them to pass them out to people. we even ended up getting a couple referrals! well follow up with them on the challenge this week. We also are trying to teach our rcs about the temple because we have a ward temple trip next month and we want them all to go!
On saturday we did service in abuakwa again at the same place. We all got tons of blisters and cut up and stuff cause we were tearing up cement and tile floors with picks and stuff. We also met a new investigator gloria that night. she is godfreds sis who just graduated and is now home. Yesterday we taught 2 referrals! one who is a members gf. ha she seems pretty open and so hopefully she will be sweet. she is in elder hatch and smiths area though, but shhh. haha We then went to kader and selinas and had banku with okoro stew. it was dang good! Kader then took us to a referral and he seems awesome! he has a wife and a small girl, so another fam! he seems very humble and willing to accept our message.
At church the baptisms went well mostly. ha charles was no problem but i had to do kwabena twice cause he jumped up right once his head started to go under. so the
second time i had to shove him all the way to the bottom of the font because he was trying to pop up again! haha Cynthia was fine, just really scarred. thats my week. thank u everyone for ur support and love!
Love, Elder Slade
