ok so for my week tues morning i was sick all morning im pretty sure from the enjoyment of pizza and a burger the day before. so i threw up then i just felt great! haha we then had our DM followed by a lesson with Gifty who is still doing great but she is nervous about coming to church cause she says she hasnt been to church in a while. so we are working on that especially because she has her b date coming up on feb 24th. Jeff is doing just wonderful and maybe he will be another paa kwesi. we gave him a bom and he has been reading it ever since and he is also preparing for feb 24th and coming to institute and church. we also read the bom with augustine and he is flying through it! he is already more than halfway through 1st nephi. also i found out that in feb bridgett and paa kwesi will be going with the YSA's to the temple so thats super exciting!
Wednesday was kind of a downer as it was super slow with all our failed appts. we taught janet about the temple and family history then we just contacted and had a couple more lessons, none too promising.
thursday we again had a crappy day with all our appts failing but we didnt let it hinder us and we just freaking contacted like a whirling dirvish and talked to everyone we saw and we ended up with 7 lessons! haha we did find a sweet guy too samuel so well see how far with him. We also taught 2 new inv's from nigeria who have been coming to church. they r doing well but its just hard for them cause at church they speak twi so they dont understand.
Friday we had our weekly plannig and then after we went with paa kwesi to see vera (who still wont come to church and now has her b date for feb 14th dropped.) and louis who is doing great and he came to church by himself sun without us picking him! we then did some contacting and taught a guy who wouldnt let us get in a word.
sat finally went how it was supposed to and we had a really busy day. we first taught lilly (bismarks wife). they still arent coming to church we then had the unfortunate experience of seeing our previously golden inv wasted drunk (supposed to be baptized sun) so we tried to talk with him but he was just too wasted. we sat down and he said ok slade pray so i did then he went and grabbed a radio and turned it on then got upset cause it was distracting then he asked me to start with a prayer again so yeah... he needs lots of prayers. what i have seen it is nearly impossible for someone to fully quit an addiction like that. thats why its so important to never try it in the first place! we then read the bom with janet. then we went and finished the pos finally with bridgett and she told us how excited she was to go to the temple with everyone! we then got an awesome new inv who is a powerful referral from a member. she is super smart and super interested and just awesome! so we taught her lesson one and shes already been to church and everything. her name is vincentia.
sunday was pretty awesome. i went to asuoyeboa (1hr drive) to go watch charles baptize his twin girls, but we got there and there was no light or water. so ya that sucked but i got to see everyone and they r all mostly doing awesome! i saw janet and daniella charles and cynthia hannah elizabeth and yeah it made me super happy! some of them arent coming too often but the missionaries now r doing a great job and trying real hard to get the other ones who i didnt mention. we then came back to ust and taught gifty somehow cause we were interrupted by a drunk guy who was causing trouble and wouldnt leave so we just left. We then taught kojo who is way ready for feb 10th. i hope i go to a different area but at the same time i want to stay here cause we r having alot of sweet people coming!
