hello everyone! Ete sein? i hope u r all doing awesome! It is so dang good to hear from u always. i really couldnt being doing this without u guys. U know that mondays have become my favorite day of the week. ha i used to freakin hate mondays but now i just love em! ha It is so weird that everyone is growing up so much! Brooke is in college which is just insane and mal is going to be legally driving in 2 weeks! what the crap! ha when i was little all i wanted was to be big and now all i want is to be little again! ha life is funny i guess.

Well this week has been ok. ha being in isolation is hard! ha with elder dolo as my companion (the quietest missionary ever) and just us 2 in the apartment and then just us and the 4 sisters in our district it gets real lonely so im so glad when im able to receive anything from u guys! Also Elder Dolo doesnt really understand me when i talk and i dont really understand him so we just dont really talk... haha Sorry my last letter was a little short. just not alot has been going on lately.

So for ur q's: Well we r still struggling to get some good solid investigators and so we just do ALOT of contacting, but i have learned to really appreciate and care about those few treasures (solid investigators) that we have! Right now we have Esther and Boateng who will be baptized the 16th. As for Patricia she is struggling. In ghana there are usually three things that get in the way of people progressing, Their families wont allow them, they have a calling in their church and therefore feel an obligation to fullfill it, or they dont wanna leave their church and have to explain to all those members! ha sorry but yeah, for Patricia it is the family thing.  So its really frustrating. such a dumb thing can stop someone from getting salvation. at least for now. so ya thats the deal with patricia. we r still having faith that things will work out though.

Boateng is doing ok,  I think he will still be baptized though cause he has a good support system. We also have a sweet dude, Paa Kwesi. He is doing awesome and his mom is a RC in Kwamo so he wanted to learn more about the church. he basically already knows its true and he comes every sunday and tues and thurs to institute and he has actually been fellowshipped! crazy stuff. haha He is going through a hard time right now with the loss of his best friends dad, so we have been helping him with that. he is a really strong dude though and we arent too worried. we will be giving him a baptisimal date very soon. We also have a guy Prince who has been taught by the missionaries everything and has even had b dates and baptisimal interviews! he is starting to really be serious now though and comes to church way early and even paid his tithing the other week! ha we are going to wait a little bit longer to make sure hes legit about it this time and then well give him a b date. so ya thats pretty much it with our progressing investigators. ha oh and by the way no i dont carry around a water sachet all day. haha they sell them everywhere.

Oh and for the pics the first one is Godfred, Elizabeth, Janet, and Daniella all of whom i baptized and the rest of
their fam. Including Gloria who would hopefully be baptized soon! The second pic is Charles and cynthia and their girls and the third is Rhoda and her fam. This was the day i said bye to everyone in Asuoyeboa. Yes people wear their native wear to church. The light and water in this apartment is absoluelty golden (knock on wood) thanks for asking. haha Yes we use propane to cook and my cooking skills are eh. i usually just make up some weird whatever and eat it. ha like dad does at home. in this area i dont have to walk near as much as before
so im enjoying that! And thanks for the thoughts, yes i enjoy them! ha

Ok so for my week. tuesday we had combined DM so it was good to get to see some people. The ZL's instructed. We also met a new investigator Julianna who came to church but she didnt seem all that serious so
well keep trying. We also saw Paa Kwesi. we then got a call that evening from a member asking us to go to the hospital here and give his wife a blessing so we did that and yeah!

On wednesday we had a do or die lesson with Olivia kinda telling her she needed to be serious or we were going to not come back. haha so well see how that goes. We then contacted a bunch and taught some lessons to those people. no one really stood out but well see. we then had another awesome PEC with our WML! Love the dude.

Thursday we then ressumed contacting. We also had a lesson with one of our investigators who well not be going back to. haha she is just really slow and doesnt get anything we say. We also had a lesson with one of our investigators Owusu. He is a sweet guy but really loves his church. ha He asked alot of good questions and we tried to answer them but he likes to talk.

On friday we had a lesson with Esther and Boateng with a ward missionary even! ha Esther is still doing awesome. ha Boateng only speaks twi. idk if i already told u that. We also had a lesson with a member refferal Ebeneezer. He is a cool dude but he plays the drums in churches for his job so yeah... the calling thing. We also met with a RC patric who is struggling because of his family and them not approving of the church. Saturday we went to a funeral for a lady in the ward who died a long time ago. (they keep bodies forever here till they bury them) We then met with a new inv. Prempeh who is a dr. and is way smart. he had a ton of q's and we tried to answer them but he was like mr owusu and liked to talk alot. haha We then met with Patricia and discussed her problems and stuff with the fam and thought we resolved them but she didnt come to church sunday so idk.

On sunday we had tons of people at church because of the funeral and so our investigators class was huge and hectic. We then contacted all day and then ate Ampesy at bishops. so... yeah thats all. haha

love u guys!
Love, Elder Slade
