Hey everyone! well that was a downer to hear that grandpa is not doing good. it sounds like he has really been struggling though and so this is definitely a blessing and to the whole fam as well. i just wish i was there. i know i already said goodbye to him though for the last time before i left, im just jealous that u guys got to have 8 more months with him than i did. I hope that grandma does ok. u guys should go and see her lots maybe even have her live at our house. i cant imagine how that would be to get old and lose everyone and do nothing all day. u guys needa be there for her hard core.

OK so first off i need Gillette fusion Pro-glide razors ASAP! I only have one left. ha sorry for the late notice. ok so for ur q's: ok so i did get a package from gma slade this week which was awesome tell her thank u so much! Nothing else though. the dear elders letters are in Cape coast so who lnows when ill get them.
Yes Elder Dolo is from Liberia. ha he speaks english but not like us. ha it is difficult to communicate so it makes everything interesting and more difficult. fun stuff. ha but i admire him for being here. im learning alot. As for our inv's we havent been able to see or get a hold of prince for a week but it is just kinda the pattern he goes through. frustrating! Paa kwesi is doing good and next time we meet him we will give him a b. date. Patricia is also doing better and we were able to talk to her mom a little and i was able to charm her with my twi. haha so hopefully that at least helps some. as for Patricia though we are most likely going to push her baptism back to october cause we just dont feel like she is quite ready. so hopefully all goes well with that. no one likes having a baptisimal date moved back including us! ha We also met a couple of other sweet new really humble people this week the only problem is their english isnt too good. ill keep u posted if they progress. Yes we sometimes go to institute and midweek with our invs. The ward building is sweet its like the exact same as the asuoyeboa one if u ever saw pics. no we dont usually teach classes on sunday since we r in a ward and not a branch. the zl's are Elder Bassey and OBasi.

I hope u remember all the stuff i asked u for a long time ago and that its on its way! ha i really need it. the cd;s were prob inspiration cause now im in an apartment with 2 and its quiet all the time. haha Ok so my week. On tues we had a freakin long DM and the wonderful Zl's instructed. We also practiced our mission song for the mission tour. We then had a lesson with Ebeneezer (who one again failed us at church) and Patric. It was a really good lesson and he felt the spirit but not enough apparently... We also had what we thought was a good lesson with owusu but he also failed us for the millionth time on sunday after promising hard core to come. Thats pretty much it for tues along with lots of contacting.

On wednesday our appointments in the morning failed so we had a random lesson with the lady we buy bananas from. it was ok. she doesnt speak english as good as we thought though. We also had another sweet and successful ward correlation with our awesome WML! We then taught Paa Kwesi with his friend (a member who he is rooming with at college!) it was a sweet lesson and paa kwesi is a sweet dude. the spirit was there. i love lessons when the spirit is there and everyone can feel it! We then met one of the sweet humble dudes i was talking about Ebeneezer. He is way humble and excited for us to teach him, he just doesnt understand us too well. he is also getting married soon to an awesome lady so maybe we can teach them both!

On thurs we had an almost perfect day with the exception of 1 failed appointment. it was freakin sweet! ha We taught ebeneezer the b.o.m and he was pumped about it. We also taught a LA girl who came this sunday! We taught mr. owusu with his sweet muslim friend Abraham who we r going to start teaching! Owusu talks so much though and we can only teach like 1 principle at a time. haha We then finally met with patricia and taught her about faith and following JC and what she knows is right. it was a pretty powerful lesson and it got her all pumped! and she came to church sunday so hopefully shes back on track!

On friday it was the opposite of thurs. we had a full day planned but every single thing fell through. so we had alot of contacting. yay!We saw an old inv. sis akua though and she seems awesome and im pumped to teach her! she is way humble and has the cutest lil girl. she doesnt speak good english at all though, but she understands dolo ok. haha We then found an awesome guy by the name of God Knows. haha the only bad thing is that he lives in accra and was just visiting. we had a freakin powerful lesson with him though.

Saturday we had the mission tour. and the people who Came were Elder Curtis from the 70 and Africa west presidency and his wife. It was sweet. they talked about unity in companionships and compared ghana culture to the gospel culture and we discussed that. after i finally had my first interview with pres. and it was good. he's an awesome guy!

Yesterday i had to give a talk in church on missionary work. it went well and hopefully everyone understood. haha ya right... it was good though. we then taught esther and boateng during third hour since we r running out of time to teach them since they will be baptized this sun. We also saw Akua again and gave it to Mr. owusu while at the same time testifying hard core of the restoration. it was pretty awesome actually and hopefully it finally hit him like it seemed it did. We then had a sweet fhe with a family in the ward. they live in a tiny little "house" and idk how many of them there are... alot. it was sweet and they were so honored to have us at their fhe they made us bear our testimonies like 3 times. haha

One lesson i have learned this week is how important humility is in this work. both for the invs and us. Love u all!
Love,
Elder Slade
