so what happened with mal? u said something exciting but i never heard what. i know something exciting happened with brooke! congrats brooke its gonna be so great, a year and a half serving the lord! crazy how fast time is going by and each day i have more and more motivation to work harder and do better cause i know my time is running out! im just trying to work on more patience with ppl still cause now that im going home i sometimes catch myself with the i dont care attitude and i dont like that at all! ha so pray for me to help me with that! haha ok so yes i did get my camera fixed. guess who fixed it? none else than elder evbuomwam himself! haha i love that guy! didnt u say u sent a package a while ago cause i still havent gotten it... so i can get u guys some african dresses i guess. like would u know the measurements and maybe u can send me a pic of the ones u want. ill see what i can do. ill let u know the price. ill try to bring more carvings. i dont have a ton of room as i already have 1 suitcase full of stuff. maybe ill try to send some home with elder crump. i have never seen any of the flat head nativities as u say so well see.
sry this email might be all over the place im teaching the guy nxt to me the first lesson! haha we were going to do service this week but the muslim ppl stopped that. ok so for the week: this week was truly another great one! Gifty has been traveled for some time now trying to get her soon to be husband baptized and this last sun he was baptized!!! haha its so awesome they r going to be an eternal family and do wonders for the church wherever they go!
also im flying to frankfurt in my travel plans maybe ill see nick?! ha We also had an amazing fufu fm. i guess i still like fufu... haha We then had an incredible lesson with atta and she know has the courage to follow what she knows to be true. when we get a branch in our area itll be amazing cause shell come to church everyweek. i think we r close to getting one. we gave her a b date for oct 27th. we also went to our vatican city districts meeting to see how theyre doing and elder ward is doing great there. Gladys and her husband are doing good but individually. we have to help them to build their relationship together. Gladys and her daughter lovia even came to church yesterday!
wed we had a weird experience when we met a guy who had a dream god gave him power to heal ppl and he can literally do it. so that kinda blew our minds and idk where that power comes from so we told him to pray and ask if it was from god. We managed the rest of our day cause we were in our muslim area. The only ppl we found and taught who were christian didnt even stay here in techiman.
thurs was awesome cause tamale came down for zone conference the next day so of course i went with my pops, gagne! for the last time.... :( he leaves next week. Atandji went with gagnes companion elder barker and at the end of the day we had 11 lessons so we were happy with that. This weekend was probably the most all together spiritual weekend of my whole mission!
Friday was the best zone council ever and i really love and appreciate president holmes and i totally testify he receives revelation to lead this mission. he always knows exactly what we need and what we r struggling with. i think i told u a bit ago i was working on teaching ppl not lessons and the conference was geared towards that with learning to listen and bearing sincere testimony. we also went over logical reasons the church was true like the perfect organization from a 23 yr old boy and a flawless translation of the bom in like less than a year. the church translating department full of professors and stuff can only translate 1/10 of how much joseph smith translated a day. crazy and true!!! we also talked about increases our spiritual foundation by writing down spiritual experiences. i then said goodbye to gagne and atandji and me went and taught a couple of lessons.
Sat we did chapel cleaning and did some interviews. We also did our weekly planning since we couldn't on friday. we taught opoku and elizabeth about the temple and they loved it. We then saw one of the families we r teaching and it went great! we taught the restoration and the spirit was there even though they declined the invitation to church. dorcas and samuel r doing good they just need to come to church as well. we need our branch! they r progressing though.
Sunday was again spirit filled and it started with fast and testimony mtg. man i love fast and testimony mtgs here in techiman so much cause ive never felt the spirit so strong in church b4. nothing strengthens my testimony more than hearing my rc;s bear their testimonies! i am so grateful to be an instrument in gods hands and to of changed these ppls lives! We then went to the olsens for an amazing dinner to break our fast. we also got to watch some of the conference from saturday which was great!
